Swine flu kills 6 more people in India today... death toll up to 335

At least six more people died of Swine Flu on October 2, taking the death toll in India to 335. Two deaths each reported from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. Maharashtra leads the Swine Flu death toll in the country with 132 casualties so far. Karnataka has accounted for 98 deaths now. 34 people have died of A H1N1 in Gujarat. Despite its best efforts, the government has not been able to contain Swine Flu.

158 fresh Swine Flu cases were reported across the country, taking the number of affected people to 10,533. Maharashtra reported 45 cases, while Delhi reported 36 cases. Total Swine Flu affected people in Maharashtra now stand at 2,907, while Delhi is not far behind with 2,730 confirmed cases.

Fresh cases of Swine Flu were also reported from Karnataka (24), Andhra Pradesh (17), Tamil Nadu (6), Kerala (15), and Haryana (7). Sevral other states reported one or two cases each.
